" I cannot recommend Jackie Commissar highly enough. Working with her on my new flat at Mayfield Village, Watford, has been an absolute joy from start to finish.

​

Like many people moving into Mayfield Village, I was downsizing from a house and feeling overwhelmed at the thought of furnishing and organising a completely new space before moving in. Jackie made what could have been a logistical nightmare feel effortless. From our very first meeting, she was an absolute pleasure to deal with-warm, easy-going and genuinely attentive. She really listened to my needs, understood my wishes and was completely respectful of my proposed budget.

Jackie has an incredible eye for design and a real talent for sourcing beautiful furniture. She presented me with plenty of carefully considered choices, along with thoughtful advice, suggestions and creative ideas that I would never have thought of myself. Every recommendation felt tailored to me. 

​

Unfortunately, due to exchange and completion being so close together, we weren’t able to access the flat prior to moving day. My situation was somewhat unique. Jackie would usually have everything fully prepared and installed before her clients walk through the door but in my case she and her team quite literally started as we stepped inside for the first time. From that very moment, everything was handled with complete professionalism and calm efficiency.

Within just 10 days, everything was in place and completed to the highest standard. Jackie works with her own trusted builders who can carry out any work, regardless of size or complexity and she personally oversees everything on site to ensure it is done to absolute perfection. Despite the tight timeframe, there was no compromise on quality, detail or finish.

Thanks to Jackie, what could have been an incredibly stressful move became smooth, organised and genuinely pleasurable. She removed all the pressure, managed every detail and delivered a beautifully finished home that I am absolutely thrilled with.

Jackie has been an absolute godsend. Thank you for being so amazing. I couldn’t be happier with how my flat looks and feels.

We have carried out considerable research into later life major changes, especially if you are without a partner or are caring for someone. We appreciate how hard loneliness can be after bringing up a family and having a partner to share everything with throughout your lives too."

“When I decided to move to (Mayfield) retirement village I employed Jackie Commissar to organise my move and for builders to arrange to undertake the essential fitting out of both the kitchen , living areas and bedroom.

These were major works which I was able to leave entirely in her hands having agreed the essential outline of what I wish to accomplish.

Under her supervision all was accomplished on time and within budget.
I’m convinced that without her help this would not have been possible. Given my age in the 90s and having limited mobility.

"We moved into our flat in Mayfield Not knowing the area or where to buy anything we were recommended to speak to Jackie who would advise us She found us an excellent builder who built us a second toilet and room for washing machine and tumble dryer She helped us with curtains, lights, flooring etc bedroom furniture nothing being too much trouble for her to source I would highly recommend her to help you move into Mayfield village She is a friendly person with a lot of patience and listens to you."

"I did not require Jackie’s help in designing my new apartment as I am a practising artist but I wanted to change certain elements including replacing carpeting with LVT flooring, changing a radiator and knocking out a cupboard to extend the hallway. This entailed some plumbing, painting, building work and plastering. I literally had just over a week to get this done before completion!

 

Appearing on the scene like a miracle, Jackie, who was working on another apartment with her builders at the time, stepped in and got it done within the time limits. She also helped me choose curtains which she supplied a bit later. Bravo Jackie! If you’d like to see my lovely apartment, you’re welcome!"
